1. Prayer Ruku Dua in Arabic (While Bowing)

سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْعَظِيمِ

Ruku Tasbih English Transliteration

Subḥāna Rabbiyal-‘Aẓīm

English Meaning

“Glory is to my Lord, the Most Great.”

Sunnah: Repeat 3 times or more (in odd numbers: 3, 5, 7…)

2. What to Say After Rising from Ruku

Once the Imam or individual says “Sami’Allahu liman ḥamidah” (سَمِعَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ حَمِدَهُ) — “Allah hears the one who praises Him”, the response is:

Salah Ruku Dua in Arabic (After rising)

رَبَّنَا لَكَ الْحَمْدُ

Transliteration:

Rabbana lakal-ḥamd
(Our Lord, to You is all praise)

Or optionally:

رَبَّنَا وَلَكَ الْحَمْدُ، حَمْدًا كَثِيرًا طَيِّبًا مُبَارَكًا فِيهِ
Rabbana wa lakal-ḥamd, ḥamdan kathīran ṭayyiban mubārakan fīh
