Why This Dua Is Important?
After the Adhan (Islamic call to prayer), it is Sunnah to recite a specific dua that asks Allah to grant the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ the highest position in Paradise — Al-Wasilah.
Reciting this dua with sincerity earns you the intercession (Shafa’ah) of the Prophet ﷺ on the Day of Judgment.

اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ هَذِهِ الدَّعْوَةِ التَّامَّةِ وَالصَّلاَةِ الْقَائِمَةِ آتِ مُحَمَّدًا الْوَسِيلَةَ وَالْفَضِيلَةَ وَابْعَثْهُ مَقَاماً مَحْمُوْداً (الْمَقَامَ الْمَحْمُودَ) الَّذِي وَعَدْتَهُ
Dua After Adhan In English Transliteration
Allāhumma Rabba hādhihi-dda‘wati-t-tāmmati waṣ-ṣalāti-l-qā’imati,
āti Muḥammadan al-wasīlata wal-faḍīlah,
wab‘ath-hu maqāman maḥmūdan allaḏī wa‘adtah.
English Meaning
“O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and the established prayer,
grant Muhammad the intercession and favor,
and raise him to the honored station You have promised him.”
Virtue of This Dua (Hadith)
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever says this dua when he hears the Adhan, my intercession will be permitted for him on the Day of Judgment.”
