Dua While Sitting Between Two Sujood (Text, Pictures & MP3)
Here is the supplication (dua) recited while sitting between the two Sujood (prostrations) in prayer. This brief sitting is called “Jalsah.”
There are a couple of variations taught from the Sunnah.
1. The Short & Most Common Dua
Many scholars mention reciting this twice.

رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي، رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي
English Transliteration (Pronunciation)
Rabbighfir li, Rabbighfir li
English Translation
My Lord, forgive me. My Lord, forgive me.
2. The Longer, Comprehensive Dua
A more comprehensive supplication, also reported in Hadith, is as follows:

اللّٰهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي، وَارْحَمْنِي، وَاهْدِنِي، وَاجْبُرْنِي، وَعَافِنِي، وَارْزُقْنِي، وَارْفَعْنِي
English Transliteration (Pronunciation)
Allāhummagh-firlī, warḥamnī, wahdinī, wajburnī, wa ʿāfinī, warzuqnī, warfaʿnī.
English Translation
O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, compensate for my shortcomings, grant me well-being, provide for me, and elevate me.
